Naturopathic Medicine Visit – What to Expect

During your first visit, whether in person or via telemedicine, Dr. Moshtagh will ask you a variety of detailed questions about your health. Note: There is no difference in care quality between in-person and virtual visits.

The appointment typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your condition.

After Your Visit

Dr. Moshtagh will review and explain her clinical thought process regarding the underlying cause of your condition. She will then create your personalized treatment plan, which may include:

  1. Ordering high-quality supplements delivered directly to your doorstep.

  2. Lab work or test kits, if needed:

    • Blood test requisitions will be emailed or mailed to you.

    • At-home test kits will be mailed to your home and should be returned to the appropriate lab facility.

Insurance Coverage

If you have PPO insurance with a low or no deductible, your visit and blood work may be covered. We will provide a superbill (medical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Before your visit, please call your insurance provider to find out:

  • What your deductible is for blood tests (both in-network and out-of-network providers).

  • Please have this information ready at the time of your appointment.

Costs

Initial visits start at $299, depending on the services provided. The cost includes Dr. Moshtagh’s time and expertise to:

  • Review your symptoms and health history

  • Analyze any lab results from the past 3 months

  • Create a tailored care plan including lab work orders, referrals (if needed), and recommendations for natural therapies, especially for acute conditions
